How the predictor works
Your rank, compared honestly with real past cutoffs
- Step 1
Real allotment data
Closing ranks for every college, course, quota and category. Where a counselling's allotment list exists, its cutoffs were reconciled against it; the rest are marked “Not cross-checked”.
- Step 2
Like-for-like comparison
Your AIR is compared only with AIR cutoffs of the same quota, category and round. State ranks only with state-rank cutoffs.
- Step 3
Eligibility first
Domicile, PwD, service, NRI and institutional quotas are applied before anything is labelled, with unverified rules flagged.
- Step 4
Explained labels
Every result shows the years, the cutoffs and the reason for its label. No invented percentages.

OpenChoice-filling assistance
Your preferences lead. History informs.
Your order of branches and colleges comes first; history only informs it. The planner warns about duplicates and eligibility conflicts and keeps every revision. Nothing is ever submitted to an official portal from here.

Frequently asked questions
Is this an official counselling website?+
No. It is an analysis tool from M B Patil Education built on historical allotment and closing-rank data. Choice filling, locking and seat allotment happen only on the official MCC or state counselling portals.
What does “Safe Bet” mean?+
Your rank was inside the closing rank in every comparable past year, with room to spare in the toughest year, and at least two years of history exist. It describes the past — it is not a guarantee and not a probability.
Why are some options hidden or marked “eligibility unverified”?+
Seat categories and quotas differ between counselling authorities. Where a state's category code has not yet been verified against its information bulletin, the option is hidden by default — the results page tells you how many, and you can include them, clearly marked, if you want to check them yourself.
Which years and rounds are covered?+
The published dataset currently covers the years shown on this page. Rounds differ by authority (some have special or stray rounds). Missing years or rounds are shown as unavailable, never estimated.
Can I compare my state merit rank?+
Yes. Choose your domicile state and, where that state publishes state-merit-rank cutoffs, enter your state merit rank (or add it later with Edit on the results page). It is only ever compared with that state's state-rank closing ranks — never with All India Ranks.
How do I get help with choice filling?+
Build a shortlist in the Choice Planner and request counselling support. An M B Patil Education counsellor can review your list with you.
